Project Description

The renovation of a Winona Lake cottage to meet the desires of the contemporary family poses challenges in every room, especially the kitchen. The addition of short windows provides much needed natural light in an otherwise dark room. A reduced backsplash protects the walls from counter spills, while giving space for the windows and a splash of color. Natural maple cabinetry with solid lumber beaded panels keep the cottage look with fewer maintenance worries than paint. A central island with seating for three houses additional storage and a trash compactor. Figured maple is highlighted at the microwave.
